This isn't the kind of football that you are all thinking of, but I think it is relevant.
Right now, Weplay.com (I am writing on their behalf) is holding a digital petition to make American Football an Olympic event. It has merit in America and some other nations, but I have a feeling that real football fans may disagree.
NFL star Peyton Manning is behind this idea, so there may be some trouble brewing.
